The British shoe designer, Nicholas Kirkwood, who studied Fine Art at Central St. Martins before shoe making at the prestigious Cordwainers college, has created a ideal collection of statement shoes which mixes elements of architectural design, sex appeal and avant-garde fashion.

The intelligent thing about Kirkwood is he has been able to combine so many contradictions in one collection; black leather with bright purple or blue heels, retro court shoes seem completely modern by design and construction; womanly materials like silk or pearls have a somber, masculine edge, as well as being incredibly sexy - all just the thing for next season's power dressing trend and the return of the woman in charge, after summer's girlie fashion.

Every woman will going to be able to wear his shoes with almost everything in September!
